While I have enjoyed writing entries for Masjib Mania, I am announcing today that the blog will be going on an indefinite hiatus. I want to thank everyone who has followed my goings-ons throughout the years. 

I visited and reviewed restaurants from 2016 through 2019. It was a fun way to give earnest feedback to local establishments, while also practicing my Korean.

When the COVID-19 global pandemic ravaged the United States in 2020 and 2021, restaurants were greatly affected. While I supported them by ordering takeout or delivery, I did not feel that it was fair to write full reviews given that it was not the full restaurant experience.

Although I had initially endeavored to continue multilingual restaurant reviews in 2022, my inspiration to write about food has dissipated. I am still learning Korean and I am still interested in tasting good food – but I am more interested in focusing my creative energies into other avenues.

I am not saying that I will never write here again, but I do not see myself doing so in the near future.
