Roaster K, Pohang

On the southeast shore of South Korea lies Pohang, a small port city and summertime destination. It is home to chaebol conglomerate POSCO, or as it was formerly known, Pohang Iron and Steel Company. The popular Yeongildae Beach (영일대해수욕장) is a busy spot for visiting families to soak in the sun. Along this beach are many bars, seafood restaurants, hotels, and Roaster K, a bakery and café. Café El Dia, Yangpyeong-dong

Due to the fact that I live in Dangsan, there are three great parks that are easily accessible: Hangang River Park, Saetgang Ecological Park, and Seonyudo Park. It goes without saying that the Seonyudo Park, which sits on an island in the Han River, is gorgeous. But, many people might not know that the Seonyudo Station area is really quaint. On a sunny Sunday afternoon in late spring, my significant other and I stumbled upon the area in search of donuts. We returned on June 15 to try El Dia for dinner.Read More »
