Many towns in Connecticut are transforming. When manufacturing jobs left the state, local economies were hurt badly. The recession in 2008 made things worse. However, as towns recover, many are making worthwhile improvements. I lived in New London, Connecticut from 2011 through 2015, and the transformation was incredible. 많은 코네티컷 주에 있는 마을들이 바뀌고 있어요. 제조 회사를 중국으로 이사한 후에 지역 경제들이 안 좋아요. 2009년 세계 경제 불황때문에 지역 경제들이 더 상황이 안 좋아요. 근데 지역 경제들이 천천히 회복될 때 많은 마을들이 좋아져요. 코네티컷 주 뉴런던에서 2011년부터 2015년까지 제가 살았는데 사소한 것들이 많았어요. 대학교 때는 기차역 근처에 지저분한 성인용품가게가* 있었는데 지금은 그곳에 소셜 바 앤 키친이라는 식당이 있어요. 제가 12월 29일에 거기를 가 봤어요.

Yeouido might be known for having the (formerly) tallest building in Korea, the National Legislature, and cherry blossoms, but not for the outstanding food. When I was in high school, there were four restaurants within walking distance: The Whistle Stop Café, Windsor 75 Diner, Giovanni’s Restaurant, and Union Street Tavern. Sadly, The Whistle Stop Café and Windsor 75 Diner both have closed down. Giovanni’s is so horrendously bad that it barely deserves a mention.
